Catch the trade winds in your sails...

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Mark Twain

Well then...

... welcome to the family. :)

Thanks to my brother in law this little baby is making it's way over the ocean pretty soon. My husband is nuts.

(But Christina is fevered with these type of cars, so I'm getting excited, too. Slowly. Of course. (Don't tell my DH.))

Join me!

Yesterday I had a long day at work and for the late evening Kalle an I actually had an appointement with another tibetan terrier in Mainz in a doggy-area. But as Habcas mistress didn't feel well, we had to cancel this... and Kalle and I went for a lonely walk through the fields in our neighbourhood.

Very lonely walk...

... but a happy dog.

Because we had a little accident with chicken when Kalle was young, he is a big partridge-hunter. So if I hear one of them and I'm sure he can't get it, I send him out on purpose to show him that they're boring.

To the left, to the left...

... to the right, to the right...

... and then he turns without command... (where is the dog?)

... and comes back fullspeed and happy. :)

We did that several times until he didn't react on hearing a partridge anymore. Good boy. Way down to the creek for a little refreshment...

... and on we go on our lonely walk.

Kalle can stay down and wait for my command if I go away.

And then, before we reached the first houses of our village again, there were some animals on the pasture. This cow laid down and wagged her tail. Oooh! Exciting!

So just a few steps more and we were back home. Kalle straightly went back to work: Watching over his mother.

Have a nice day, everybody!

Give a little time for the child within you...

... don’t be afraid to be young and free.
Undo the locks and throw away the keys
and take off your shoes and socks, and run you.
La, la, la...

This is Toyotas new jingle on German television. And it fits perfectly to what my DH has in mind because he needs a new car. But he doesn't want a new Toyota. The little boys dream:

If someone would ask me... I'd buy this one: Doggytaxi. But well, nobody asks me.

*hmmm*

Just had some sandwiches with thin slices of goat cheese, avocado and onions... and salmon. With a little fantasy it tasted like a family-breakfast-bagel in Jersey.

Let's start!

First entry, plain blog. Hello world!

In the background Kalle is howling, because he has to stay in his kennel. His mother Peggy is in heat, so either he or she has to be separated somehow - he is not neutered and she isn't too.

(Have to open leo.org to find the right words - be patient with my English.)

Today I have to clean the house and get things ready for tomorrow. I'm starting a new job in July and we have a meeting on wednesday, so I have to be prepared. It's going to be a fulltime-job (goal: to accumulate a fortune for the emigration :)) ).

Because there is always something I'm starting today with some leftover-pain from yesterday where I had a little lumbago. But I can nearly walk straight again. *giggle*

So, for now: Have a nice day! (Weather is getting better in Germany.)
